About

The Hot Dog I Ate is a blog created for myself and my friends to write about, compare, and expound upon our hot dog adventures. There will be no discrimination towards other types of encased meats; writing about brats, wursts, sausages, etc. are encouraged.

Aloha my hot dog brother and or sister.

I have recently become a follower of Yank’s Franks after he found me about a week ago. I followed his link to your site and viola it brings me here.

You should check out my site and perhaps we can land a spot on your hot dog website list.

The more hot dog lovers out there, the better off we ALL are!

    Enjoy the dogs.

Thanks hot dog guy, and sorry for the delay in responding! I’ve been reading your blog for the past few months, you do a great job of covering the country–seems like you’re located mainly in the midwest, which is where I grew up. Yank’s Franks is a pretty great site too, keeping up-to-date on how his dream is going is pretty inspiring–who knew starting your own business meant eating tons of hot dogs? I’ve added your blog to our “Friends Blogs” list, so you’ll see it listed there. Keep up the good work, brother!

    Hi there!

We’d love for you to come out to New York Hotdog and Coffee!

We’re known for our bulgogi hot dogs and bulgogi burgers, a Korean twist on American traditions.

If you are interested, let me know when I can set-up a time during which you can stop by, chow down and chat! =)

    All the best,

    Arrom

Hi Arrom, thanks for reading the blog and inviting us to your hot dog stand. I think we may have already visited (see the last stop of our post hot dogs: the NYC tour, or, eat-a-thon 2009!) but that isn’t going to stop us from coming back. Alex & I split one of the bulgogi dogs and enjoyed it immensely but were so filled from our other hot dog excursions that we had to end it there. I’ll contact you via email and we’ll talk more.

      Thanks,
      Mike

    Hi,

This is one killer food blog. The articles are very cleverly written. My favorite is, by far, The Hot Dog I Didn’t Eat. Very funny! I had to stop reading because I think I would’ve wet myself if I didn’t, which wouldn’t be good because I just took a shower. The picture captions on this article were out-of-this-world hillarious. Nicely done.

Thanks for the kind words Bruce, always happy to hear that someone else besides our wives & parents are reading. It’s comments like yours (& eating all the hot dogs we please) that make writing this blog worthwhile. Keep on reading & I promise we’ll keep writing.

      Mike
